Our VeterinaryTeam

Dr. Lentswe Rampa, BVSc

Lead Veterinarian

Dr. Lentswe graduated from the University of Pretoria (Onderstepoort) in 2007, with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. He also holds a Bachelor of Agriculture in Animal Health from North West University (2000). Both qualifications were obtained in South Africa.

He and his family migrated to Australia from South Africa in 2019. He worked at Riverbank Animal Hospital (Grafton, NSW) the same year and then joined Hervey Bay Veterinary Surgery (QLD) in 2020.

Dr. Lentswe was introduced to the Veterinary industry at an Agricultural High School he attended as a young man living in Taung, North West. He was drawn to the idea of one day becoming a Veterinary Surgeon in rural communities. He served the Siyabuswa Village and many surrounding villages in the Mpumalanga and Limpopo Province for many years and was loved by local farmers. Dr. Lentswe would enjoy routine desexing campaigns and teaching local villagers on how to better care for their livestock and the animals in their homes. A village boy of note, Dr. Lentswe is proud to have realised his dream of owning his own Veterinary Hospital in Australia.

Outside of work, Dr. Lentswe enjoys listening to podcasts and music; spending time with his family and exploring new and exciting spots in Australia.

Dr. Danielle Melhuish

BVet Biol/BVSc (Hons)

Senior Veterinarian

Please help us to welcome our very own Senior Veterinarian…🥁🥁🥁Dr. Danielle 💜!

With over 10 years of work experience as a Vet, Dr. Danielle is not a new face in Hervey Bay. She spent 7 years in West Gippsland practicing as a mixed animal Vet before relocating to Hervey Bay; to work at another local Vet surgery.

Dr. Danielle  joined our dream team in January 2024 and is quite popular with our clients. With her caring nature, compassion and her commitment to ensuring that animals get the best health-care possible, Dr. Danielle has settled well into our team.

Having her around has been a big scary change but also a great milestone achieved. We now have a lot more availability to continue serving the Hervey Bay community.

Her many years of Veterinary experience and love for surgery, helps the team to learn and grow with the knowledge she lends us. She’s very passionate about teaching and is always available to lend a hand no matter the task. A true team player.

Our Management Team

Thlologelo "Promise" Rampa

Practice Manager

Meet Thlologelo Promise Rampa.

Promise is a Social Worker by profession. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work (2016) and a Masters of Arts in Social Work (2018) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Promise has worked as a Social Worker in NSW and QLD.

If she could, Promise would adopt every stray animal that walks through the doors of the clinic. She currently has two cats (Grace and Elijah) who came into the clinic as stray cats as well as two dogs, Puzzle and Brené.

One of Promise's dreams is to own a big property in the wood to create her farm house. She wants pigs, goats, cows, chicken and sheep; an infinite number of cats and dogs and to grow her own fruits and vegetables.

In her spare time, Promise has a Youtube channel where she provides information to potential immigrants interested in relocating to Australia for job opportunities and greener pastures.

Promise enjoys reading, gardening, vlogging, dancing, singing and catching up with family and friends.

Our Nursing Team

Bianca Yeomans

Senior Vet Nurse

Meet Bianca, our senior vet nurse. Bianca moved to Hervey Bay over a year ago from VIC. She's our very own Cat Lady with the biggest heart for animal welfare. Bianca is the kind of nurse who goes far and beyond for patients in the clinic. She is very particular with small things such as making sure they are comfortable in their enclosures and that they receive tons of cuddles and attention. She is also an advocate for stray animals and will ensure that we make the best decision for every animal that walks through our doors.

Amber Jackson

Vet Nurse

Amber recently joined the team. She and her family moved to Hervey Bay less than a year ago. She has a very chilled nature but a hard worker of note. She is always available to offer a hand at any task. Amber has a pet sitting business on the side. So, if you ever need someone to help with taking care of your pets while you're away, Amber is your go-to person. With her knowledge and experience as a vet nurse, rest assured knowing that your pet will be well looked after.

Our Trainee Nurses

Taylor Kollbaum

Trainee Vet Nurse

Taylor is one of our Cert IV students. She is one brave girl who takes on each and every challenge as it comes. She has grown very confident in the work she does. Very much goal orientated and a big celebrater of her achievements not matter how big or small.  Taylor is the kind of nurse who welcomes things that are not in her comfort-zone. She's your go to when it comes to surgical procedures and wildlife cases. She is also our internal IT person who will help solve our never ending IT issues. She is often at work with her puppy, Harley (Not in the picture) who is well-trained and a bliss with other pets in the clinic.

Kylie Marshall

Trainee Vet Nurse

Kylie joined our team in the very beginning and is also one of our Cert IV students. She is a silent assassin with the unexpected puns and the jokes. With a very calm and caring nature, Kylie is the kind of nurse who would talk you into adopting each and every stray animal.

Kylie is both a cat and dog mum with a heart for all animals that walk through our doors. Kylie has grown confident in her role as a vet nurse in training. She's currently in charge of the dental machine and is always available to lend a hand in whatever task.

Charmaine Holley

Trainee Vet Nurse

Charms moved from Western Australia to Hervey Bay about 4 years ago. With extensive work experience in and outside the Veterinary Field, Charms is quick with solutions and always has a plan in her tool kit.

Trust Charms to get the job done! She also doubles up as the life of the clinic. Charms has a beautiful and bright personality. She will make sure everyone's spirit is lifted on bad and hectic days and is often responsible for the laughs and cheer in the building. Charms is always on her feet and enjoys emergency nursing.

Jasmine Hayse

Trainee Vet Nurse - Cert II

Jasmine is our youngest Vet Nurse Trainee. A very ambitious student who is always keen to learn. She is currently our High School Work Experience Co-Ordinator and Programme Planner. A role that fits her personality well.  Jasmine wants to encourage High School students to join the Veterinary Industry as soon as they realise this is where their passion lies.

Just a few months shy of 16 Years of age, Jasmine aspires to be one of Australia's youngest qualified Vet Nurses. She's our baby in the clinic and can be found in the reception area welcoming clients and their fur-family. Being the youngest and more tech-intelligent, she's often the one responsible for creating forms, social media artwork or showing us basic yet difficult things such as how to copy and paste on Microsoft Word. It's a Gen Z thing.
